Prior to Firebolt, Vineet spent 8+ years at Google, where he was Product Director for Google Shopping (and helped grow revenue 20X) and Google Play.
Prior to Google, he co-founded Like.com, which Google acquired for over $100M and which laid the foundation for Google Shopping. Prior to Like.com, Vineet served as a partner at BlueRun Ventures, where he led the first investment in Coupa Software, founded by two of his colleagues from Oracle. Vineet’s Coupa investment was the best deal in BlueRun’s history, and Coupa is now a public company (NASDAQ: COUP) valued at $5B+. He also invested in two companies that were acquired for more than $100 million each.
Earlier in his career, Vineet spent several years at Oracle as an engineering manager leading Oracle’s core database platform. Vineet holds a Masters degree from Cornell University and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.
Cherian started his career in 2008 at Microsoft as a part of Bing's core web search algorithm team, working on petabyte scale data sets and machine learning algorithms.
Later on, he worked as a VC with Draper Associates (Tim Draper) and August Capital before starting Firebolt Ventures in 2014 where (as a result of backing exceptional founder-CEOs) 5 of his first 10 investments reached valuations of $100M or more.
He holds a Masters degree from Stanford and a Bachelors in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.
Gokul is an active investor with over 125 startups in his portfolio.
Early in his career, Gokul grew Google’s AdSense from zero to over $1 billion in revenues. He went on to found Chai Labs, an NLP company which was acquired by Facebook. Gokul then became Product Director for Ads at Facebook - scaling revenues from $0.75 billion to $6.5 billion - before joining Square, where he leads the delivery service Caviar.
He holds Masters degrees from MIT and UT Austin and a Bachelors in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.
